Frequently Asked Questions
What is Trovaro and who is it for?
Trovaro is a web app that lets you collect notes, bookmarks, videos, and photos in one place and organize them into archives and colored categories – for anyone who wants to keep recipes, articles, tutorials, ideas, and memories organized.
Is Trovaro free?
You can test Trovaro for 30 days free of charge – no payment details required. After that, it costs 10 € per month or 100 € per year: all features, 10 GB storage, no ads.
Is Trovaro an alternative to Pocket?
Yes. Since Pocket was shut down, Trovaro is the easy way to read later: save article links with a preview image, mark as read, and organize them by topic – additionally, you can store videos, notes, and photos.
Does Trovaro replace Evernote or Notion?
For private collections: yes. Trovaro deliberately avoids database configuration and feature overload. Instead: write notes, save links, done.
Can I save YouTube videos and watch them later?
Yes. Insert link – title, channel, duration, and thumbnail are retrieved automatically. YouTube, Vimeo, X/Twitter, and GanjingWorld are supported. Watched status included.
How do I share a password-protected photo album?
Every album can be shared via link – with a password if desired. Recipients don't need a Trovaro account and view the album read-only in the browser.
Where is my data stored?
On a server in Germany – not with US cloud providers. Trovaro is ad-free, without tracking, with daily backups.
